New Zealand won a high-scoring one-day international against England by 13 runs on the Duckworth- Lewis method, with a rain delay late in the reply damaging the hosts' hopes of chasing down a target of 399.
Ross Taylor struck 119 to underpin New Zealand's second- highest 50-over total of 398-5 at The Oval on Thursday. England were 345-7 after 43.5 overs, needing 54 more runs off 37 balls, when play was suspended because of rain. When the match resumed, the hosts were set a revised target of 379 or 34 runs off 13 and they finished on 365-9.
The Blacks Caps tied the five-match series at 1-1 after England won the first ODI by 210 runs.
