Galaxy A7 to be Samsung’s thinnest smartphone yet..........


NEW DELHI: Samsung is gearing up to officially launch its Galaxy A7 smartphone. 

After getting a nod from US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Samsung has also got the approval from Chinese certification agency TENAA. 

According to TENAA, the Galaxy A7 measures 150.9x75.9x6.3mm, making it the thinnest smartphone ever from the South Korean tech giant. At 6.3mm, the Galaxy A7 is slightly slimmer than the 6.7mm thin Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy A5, both of which are currently the thinnest Samsung smartphones. 

The TENAA device listing also mentions the screen size as 5.5-inch with 1920x1080p resolution, in line with the leaks from GFXBench and FCC.

Samsung Galaxy A7 will be powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, which packs an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. Running Android 4.4.4 (KitKat), this smartphone has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The A7 is also expected to sport a 12MP primary camera 5MP secondary camera.
