Google Nexus 6 listed for a premium Rs 44000, not for the masses then.......

It looks like the Google Nexus 6 is getting ready to make its debut in India as the device has now been listed on the company’s Play store with a price of Rs 44000. As expected, the search giant is asking a premium for its new flagship, though we wonder whether the masses are willing to shell out that much for the 32GB model.
The Google phone’s 64GB version will also be made available in India and it’ll cost you Rs 49000, which comes to an additional Rs 5000. The company keeping mum about the availability details for the Nexus 6, but you can rest assure that the handset will go on sale this month itself.

We’ve already seen the Google smartphone getting listed on Flipkart with a coming soon label and this confirms that it won’t be exclusive to the Play store. The main competitors for the Motorola-made smartphone are the iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4. The device in question has the upper hand here mainly because it offers top-tier specs at a much lower price compared to the other two handsets.
And since it’s a Nexus phone, software updates to the latest releases of Android will reach it first. The device is a mammoth of a smartphone with a screen size of 5.96 inches. The panel used here is an AMOLED one with Quad HD 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. The handset basically looks like a larger version of the new Moto X.
Here are the key Google Nexus 6 specs:

Like with the Nexus 9 tablet, Google will most likely reveal the release date for the Nexus 6 in the next few days. So be sure to keep a check on the Play store listing.
