Apple’s bigger iPad coming in H1 2015.........

NEW DELHI: Rumours surrounding the bigger, 12.9-inch iPad have been floating around for quite a while. However, a new report coming from Japan suggests that Apple is working on a 12.2-inch iPad which is expected to arrive between April and June, next year.

Japanese magazine Mac Fan (via 9to5mac) has published drawings for what it claims to be the 12.2-inch iPad Air Plus. It mentions that the upcoming tablet will be powered by a new Apple A9 processor and will sport four speakers to offer omni-directional, stereo sound.

While the authenticity of the drawings has not been verified, 9to5mac points out that Mac Fan had published accurate drawings for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus prior to their launch.

The report also states that Apple will introduce a new iPad mini variant called iPad mini 4 which will feature the same design as seen on the iPad Air 2.

Earlier, Bloomberg had reported that Apple was preparing to roll out a larger, 12.9-inch version of the iPad for 2015, with production set to begin in the first quarter of the year.

A Wall Street Journal report also suggested that Apple had delayed the production of the large screen iPad to focus on the iPhone following increased demand.
