Obama to meet with Suu Kyi at her residence.....

US president Obama will meet with opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi at her home in Yangon today, sources say.
Suu Kyi and Obama will discuss about democracy reform plan in Myanmar, the situations of upcoming 2015 election and bilateral relationship.
Reform plan is halted in Myanmar and she think in her view, there had times US had very optimistic about reforming process in Myanmar. The reform plan was stopped since early last year. She wants to ask whether there has significant process in reform plan or not in two-year period,” said the NLD leader in a press conference at NLD’s headquarters on November 5.
President Obama discussed with MPs about the role of the parliament in transition plan at Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Obama is planned to attend Young South East Asia Initiative held at Jubilee Hall in Yangon University in addition to meet with Suu Kyi in Yangon.
US president met with the opposition leader when he visited Myanmar in November last year.
Foreign leaders met with President Thein Sein and Suu Kyi during the reign of President Thein Sein era as Myanmar is reforming democracy process.
After Obama became president in 2009, US shifted their policy towards Myanmar. They replaced carrot and stick system instead of imposing sanctions. Moreover US established strong diplomatic relationship with Myanmar.
Myanmar had diplomatic ties with United States since 1947.
