A dozen police vehicles are at the scene where the big cat was spotted early on Friday, after a day of searching failed to capture the tiger, whose origins remain a mystery.

An official with the police department in charge of the region said that the animal was spotted in a clearing on the south side of the town of Bussy-Saint-Georges.
The new sighting was on the other side of the A4 road from where the tiger was initially seen, about five miles away, the official said.
Both sites are about six miles from Disneyland Paris. The operator of the theme park said it has no tigers and is not taking any special precautions, because the loose animal is not deemed a threat.
A wild cat animal park in the region, the Parc des Felins, said none of its cats are missing.
