Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been named the top celebrity of 2014 by Forbes India. Shah Rukh Khan, who was numero uno in the previous two editions, has now dropped to the third place.
The Forbes list was compiled considering the individual performance of celebrities between October 2013 and September 2014. During this period Salman Khan had two big releases Jai Ho and Kick. On top of that, he’s pocketed good remuneration for hosting the TV show 'Bigg Boss'. So, that clearly puts Salman on top, both in terms of revenue and fame.
If you consider the same period (October 2013 to September 2014), you will realize that Shah Rukh Khan didn’t have a single film release during this time. Happy New Year released in October 2014. That’s the reason for the demotion of King Khan to the third spot. However, he still has the highest number of brand endorsements with 22 deals in his kitty.
Shah Rukh Khan named world’s second richest actor
