RAMALLAH, Dec. 14 -- Chief Palestinian negotiator Sabe Erekat announced on Sunday that he will meet with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in London on Tuesday.
"The meeting was decided upon Kerry's demand," Erekat spoke to Xinhua on telephone, without giving further details. However, the meeting in London will be after a meeting between Kerry and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.
Earlier reports said that Kerry will also hold a meeting with an Arab League delegation that will include several Arab Foreign Ministers.
Kerry said earlier that he will hold a series of meetings in Europe to avoid arguments in the United Nations over the question of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The Palestinians have been exerting intensive efforts to present an Arab-backed draft resolution calling for a time schedule to end the Israeli military occupation.
The leadership is scheduled to hold a meeting on Friday in Ramallah in the West Bank to decide the time to present the draft resolution to the UN Security Council.
