US air strikes target Mosul in Iraq.......

The US has mounted a series of air strikes targeting a convoy of the jihadist group Islamic State near the Iraqi city of Mosul.
A US official said the military had reason to believe the convoy was carrying leaders of ISIL which controls large chunks of Iraq and Syria.
But it was unclear if the group’s top commander Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had been in any of the 10 targeted vehicles.
An official at a Mosul morgue said 50 bodies of Islamic State militants were brought to the morgue after the air strike.
Iraqi security officials have not commented on a media outlet report that an air strike targeted a gathering of ISILleaders in a town near the Syrian border which possibly included Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
The report said dozens of people were killed and wounded. Two eyewitness have claimed a house was hit near the border town of al-Qaim where senior ISIL officers were meeting.
