Microsoft Lumia 940 specs leak, boasts 24MP camera ........

Microsoft’s next flagship blower just got an early debut courtesy of supply chain tipsters.

While there’s no way of knowing how authentic the factory screenshot actually is, the specs seem likely enough to warrant consideration.

First off, Microsoft looks like it’s opted to stick with a 1080p display over 5-inches of screen real estate. That’s probably not a bad choice – 1080p is plenty, and should extend battery life a chunk.

It’s also listed as shipping with Gorilla Glass 4, which is slightly odd considering Corning hasn’t actually announced that version of glass yet.

Innards are tipped to read as follows: a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor with Adreno 420 graphics, 3GB of memory, and 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants.

There’s also a pretty beefy snapper in tow, specifically a 24MP sensor that’s good for 4K video recording at 60fps, as well as a 5MP front-facing shooter that can record up to 1080p resolution footage.

Connectivity comes courtesy of Wi-Fi, NFC, and USB 3.0. Bluetooth is also likely.

In terms of pocketability, you’re looking at dimensions of 137 x 71 x 8.9mm, with a total weigh of 149g.

The mystery handset is also listed as rocking Windows 10, which could put its release date a fair way off.

The device is listed as the Lumia 940 which seems in keeping with Microsoft’s new strategy of abandoning the Nokia nametag. Today saw the launch of Microsoft’s first official Lumia-stamped device, the Lumia 535.
